Exchange Programs
Cheung Kong GSB has always been committed to providing its students with education opportunities in well known business schools throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. Cheung Kong GSB currently has exchange programs with the following seven international business schools:
MBA students can broaden their global perspective and capitalize on various exchange programs for the dynamic and international outlook that is inherently derived from an overseas education and life experience.
Exchange programs for Cheung Kong GSB normally start from the fourth or fifth module of our MBA program. Each year, approximately 50% of our students participate in the International Exchange Program.
International Immersion Program
One important element of the Cheung Kong MBA program is the 5 to 10 day International Immersion Program which allows the Cheung Kong MBA students to be exposed to a foreign working environment different from their own. Students learn for a short period of time within a new cultural context, and are subjected to a new language and new business practices. During this program, participants will meet with business leaders, government officials and local students so as to understand the challenges facing them in their respective countries and thus gain a deeper understanding of the local business and economic situation there.
The MBA office and students jointly organize these international trips and the school provides travel allowance to subsidize part of the stay. In 2006, students initiated and organized a 10-day tour to South Korea and Hong Kong. They investigated Korean companies with a strong presence in the global marketplace like LG, Hyundai and Samsung, and visited start-up companies and local universities.
