The Cheung Kong MBA curriculum is composed of one year of classroom study followed by a phase for thesis writing, (up to five months) which can be carried out after the student returns to employment.
In the one-year classroom study, a Cheung Kong MBA candidate is required to take all the compulsory courses and a minimum number of electives. The one-year intensive academic curriculum is organized into six modules of seven weeks each. Each module ends with exams and is followed by a break.

After completing the compulsory foundational courses during Module 3, including economics, finance, marketing, management, and operations, Cheung Kong MBA candidates have access to electives that enable them to meet their career development needs. In addition, there are electives to enhance their understanding of humanity and knowledge about China. These elective courses encourage a sense of integrity and social responsibility in Cheung Kong MBA students, develop their leadership skills and foster teamwork abilities; they are important and integral elements in the curriculum.
All MBA courses are taught in English by Cheung Kong GSB professors and visiting professors who have research and teaching experience at the world's prestigious business schools. Teaching methodologies include lectures, case studies, group projects, and business games.
Pre-term
The Cheung Kong MBA month-long pre-term program ensures that everyone starts their Cheung Kong MBA study with a common knowledge base. During the pre-term, students have the chance to get to know each other, build relationships, and explore the campus and the city before the start of the academic year.
