Through generous funding from the Li Ka-shing Foundation, Cheung Kong MBA scholarships aim to attract individuals of exceptional ability and talent in China and around the world. The goal of these scholarships is to help meet the financial needs related to the educational well-being and personal development of all eligible MBA applicants.
All scholarships are granted on a non-cash basis. Below are the three scholarship options available for MBA applicants. The applicant may choose one of the following options or a combination of all three:
Cheung Kong Early Admissions Scholarship for International Students
Cheung Kong GSB realizes the financial burdens an MBA education could bring to some of our international students. In an effort to help these students, and with sufficient funding from the LKS Foundation, Cheung Kong GSB will award those international students who apply during the Early Round with a special Early Admissions Scholarship. Please contact michaelji@ckgsb.edu.cn for related information and materials.
Merit Scholarship
Merit scholarship is awarded to applicants in recognition of their academic and career achievements as well as other related soft skills necessary for success in the business world. Assessment will be based on information provided within the applicant’s admissions application.
Certain applicants demonstrating exceptional accomplishment or potential within an industry may receive merit scholarships provided by selected corporate sponsors.
Need-based Scholarship
Need-based scholarship is awarded to applicants based on their financial need and contingent upon their fulfillment of the criteria set within the scholarship policy established by Cheung Kong GSB. Applicants interested in this scholarship need to submit a separate form stating their income and related financial assets.
The scholarship amount an applicant receives may range from partial to full scholarship, and can only be used to cover tuition cost.
- Cheung Kong Full Scholarship:
RMB 210,000
- Cheung Kong Partial Scholarship:
RMB 30,000 to 180,000
Once an applicant’s scholarship package is finalized, the designated amount will automatically be deducted from their tuition prior to the start of the academic year.
