众筹 or 众愁 - The Crowd-based Business Model's Headaches and Opportunities

发布时间:2016年11月04日

Finance is different from general “standardized goods.” It is a non-standard service, whether it is traditional finance or internet banking, and information asymmetry is its biggest challenge. Especially when it comes to the financing of early-stage projects, overcoming this information asymmetry and resolving trust issues between investors and entrepreneurs would support product and enterprise innovation and shatter the boundary walls that limit entrepreneurs. Through collaboration, scattered resourced can be combined effectively, eventually allowing the market to tackle the issues facing innovators in the era of “crowdfunding”.

“Although the power of technology to collate and coordinate has created opportunities for the utilization of idle resources, the lack of policymakers and platform builders has created a ‘shared headache’ for technology entrepreneurs and investors.”

says Yanbo Wang, Assistant Professor of Strategy and Innovation, CKGSB.
