萨思洛教授目前执教于长江商学院及麻省理工学院，教授战略领导力课程。主要教学领域为领导力与自我管理。萨思洛教授与全球众多组织都有过合作，主要合作内容是指明战略方向，识别核心竞争力，设计并开展学习计划，并对高级管理人员进行培训。萨思洛教授就领导力效能和执行战略为高级管理人员提供培训。他还为大学和公司管理过高级管理人员教育课程，并就管理变革、激励并影响他人、战略思考以及在恶劣环境中的领导学等主题举办研讨会。萨思洛教授的研究集中于旨在提升领导能力以及团队合作的各种战略。他目前正在写一本阐述领导力和团队本质的专著。 除了在麻省理工大学的教学工作以外，沙勒姆还曾经在哈佛大学肯尼迪政治学院、哈佛大学公共健康学院、纽约州立大学，哈特福大学，南卫理工会大学和洛约拉大学任教。他曾就领导力培养发表多篇论文，并在美国和其他国家的多个民事、行业以及职业协会中发表重要讲话。他在斯沃斯莫尔学院获得了经济学和心理学的学士学位，在哈佛大学获得了组织行为学和管理学的硕士和博士学位。
