藕继红教授先后在中国社会科学院和美国麻省理工学院取得两个硕士学位，并获得美国麻省理工学院运营研究学博士学位。目前为长江商学院运营管理学副教授。1999年至今，藕继红还担任新加坡国立大学商学院副教授。此外，他曾是剑桥大学、加州大学洛杉矶分校安德森管理学院和伊利诺依大学访问学者。目前在新加坡国立大学商学院为本科生、研究生和MBA学生教授包括统计学，管理科学，供应链管理，运营管理，随机运营研究模型等专业课程。
