刘挺军博士为长江商学院助理教授，曾分别取得美国弗吉尼亚大学物理学博士及卡耐基梅隆大学金融经济学博士学位并任职亚利桑那州立大学W.P. Carey商学院金融学助理教授，是美国金融学协会成员。曾讲授包括企业融资、经济学原理、管理经济学等课程。

研究领域包括企业融资，兼并与收购，风险管理，拍卖理论。
