甘犁博士为长江商学院访问副教授，德克萨斯A&M大学经济学副教授。同时担任美国国家经济研究局(NBER)研究员。1998年至2005年期间为德克萨斯大学经济学助理教授。1998年获得加州大学伯克利分校经济学博士及统计学硕士学位。
