The 2008 East-West MBA All-Star
Case Challenge is an invitational and non-profit event organized by Cheung Kong
Graduate School of Business and sponsored by Tsingtao Beer, January 4-5 in Beijing,.
Its purpose is to give MBA students an opportunity to meet their peers from around
the world, analyze Tsingtao Beer's current market strategy for the United States,
and propose solutions to Tsingtao senior management.
The case, Tsingtao Beer: North American Marketing Strategy 2008, has been uniquely
developed and tailored to fit the knowledge and interests of both Chinese and American
MBA students.
Student teams of 4 individuals will represent their schools with presentations on
day one. Day two will feature mixed-team presentations that analyze the same Tsingtao
case but from a more specific perspective.
The East-West Case Challenge is an opportunity to showcase the MBA education at
your school, demonstrate business skills, and compete for over US$8,000 in prize
money in front of judges that include top executives from Tsingtao Beer and leading
b-school professors, as well as a potential Chinese TV audience of millions.
